Announcements: Closing of the online data room The Higher Council for Privatization and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the Lebanese Republic jointly announce the temporary closing of the online data room that was established in connection with the proposed issuance of two mobile licenses and the sale of related assets. In accordance with Council of Ministers resolutions No. 55 dated November 15, 2008, and No. 46 dated November 27, 2008, the Council of Ministers has elected to currently proceed with a tender for the award of management contracts for the mobile networks. Accordingly, the proposed issuance of two mobile licenses and the sale of related assets has been discontinued. The Higher Council for Privatization and the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority of the Lebanese Republic wish to thank the companies that participated in the privatization process and remind them of their obligations under the Non-Disclosure Agreement and the Data Room Rules and Procedures, particularly pertaining to confidential information, and will contact them as soon as the privatization and licensing process resumes. |
